5 Minute Rain.
Wind,
drives saltless tears
like fists
into pavement.
Pounding,
pouring rage
into a thunderous
drone.
Bounces on
impact,
shocked by its
failure.
It tries,
and tries
again.
After the Rain.
Damp
hangs like
dead breath
in the air.
Feathers rustle,
lost in leaves
and
branches.
A voice rings out,
a shrilling tone of
rebirth.
Caught by Rain.
Bars of water
imprison
the lost.
Unsuspecting,
they walked,
jerked back by the
the shock
and joy
of wet.
